Malaysia Aquatics has confirmed its short-list for the 12th Asian Age Group Championships, sending a 44-strong swim team to Bangkok this July. The squad spans eleven states and three selection tiers — here's who's making the trip.
The team was named off the back of the 61st Malaysia Invitational Age Group Championships, the designated selection meet for this cycle, with swimmers slotted into three priority tiers by Malaysia Aquatics' selection committee. Category A (Priority 1–3) and Category B (Priority 4–6) make up the core travelling squad, while Category C (Priority 8 / Invitation) swimmers round out the list on an invitational basis.
Kuala Lumpur (WPKL) and Selangor (SGR) lead the list in numbers, with Penang (PEN) close behind — between them the three states account for well over half the squad. Perak, Johor, Melaka, Sarawak, Kedah, Negeri Sembilan, Sabah and Terengganu each have representation too, underlining how far the selection net was cast for this cycle.

The 12th Asian Age Group Championships run 17–21 July 2026 at the SAT Swimming Pool, Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok, as part of the wider 12th Asian Age Group Championships 2026, held 17–25 July across all disciplines.
