Maryam Arianna Rose Claims Silver with Personal Best at All-Stars Leg 1

The 12-year-old clocks 1:07.53 in the Girls 12-13 100m Butterfly at Pusat Akuatik Bukit Jalil — her fastest time yet, and a clear sign of an upward trajectory that is hard to ignore.

Maryam Arianna Rose continued her rapid rise in the 100m Butterfly, claiming silver at the MAS/MILO All-Stars Swimming Circuit 2026 — Leg 1 with a new personal best of 1:07.53, underlining the form that has made her one of the most watchable young butterfliers in her age group.

The 12-year-old from PADE finished behind Noma Horiuchi (1:06.47) in the Girls 12-13 final at Pusat Akuatik Bukit Jalil, with Bowie Ong (1:10.94) taking bronze. Maryam’s margin over third place — nearly four seconds — reflects just how far ahead of the field the top two swimmers have moved.

The Leg 1 outing follows a breakthrough performance at MSSS earlier this season, where Maryam shattered a meet record that had stood since 2016, clocking 1:08.39 to surpass the previous mark of 1:10.37. Her time at All-Stars improves on that by nearly a full second — a significant drop in a short space of time.

Since her first appearance at MIAG 2026, Maryam has carved out a consistent upward trajectory in the event — improving her times at every outing and drawing attention for the maturity of her racing.

With MSSM on the horizon in June, Maryam carries genuine momentum into the national schools championship. If her recent trajectory holds, the Girls 100m Butterfly final will be worth watching closely.
