15–17 May 2026 · Pusat Akuatik Kuala Lumpur

The MAS/MILO All-Stars Swimming Circuit 1st Leg 2026 (Central) brings three full days of racing to Pusat Akuatik Kuala Lumpur, with male swimmers aged 14 and over competing across 16 events spanning every stroke, freestyle distances from 50m to 1500m, and individual medley in both the 200m and 400m. Here is a breakdown of the seed-time leaders and the names worth following across the full meet.

The Sprinters

The 50m and 100m freestyle fields set the tempo for the entire meet. Ho Zhi Yang (PADE, 20) leads the 50m Free at 23.96, with Chong Zheng Yew (PADE, 20) and Dylan Leong Yi Quan (PADE, 17) right behind at 24.09 and 24.40 respectively. It is a predominantly Open-age podium — but Khew Mu Han (PADE, 16) at 24.78 is the standout junior, seeded ninth overall.

In the 100m Free the top seed belongs to Aslan Adnan (PADE, 18) at 53.25, nearly half a second clear of Matthias Liew Ming Zhi (PADE, 21) at 53.71 and Evan Chua Min Hao (DSAS, 17) at 54.36. The junior story is BO YU Hew (IBSC, 15) at 55.08 — the fastest 15-year-old in the field — while Joshua Lim (KRNW, 16) at 55.19 is similarly compelling. Both are also entered in multiple butterfly events, underlining the range of their programmes.

The 200m Free top seed is Aslan Adnan again at 1:56.27, with Hermann Tang Bok Yu (PADE, 15) an eye-catching second at 1:58.30 — fast for any age, remarkable for a 15-year-old.

The Backstrokers

The 50m Back is one of the tightest fields of the meet. Abdul Karim Jaafar Azhar (KPGCC, 18) leads at 27.58, with Khew Mu Han (PADE, 16) at 27.82 and Boon Wei David Lee (IBSC, 19) at 27.99 completing a top three separated by less than half a second. Sebastien Rion Azlir (DSA, 18) at 28.00 and Jia Jun Nathaniel Shu (IBSC, 15) at 28.04 follow immediately — Nathaniel's presence in the mix against senior swimmers is a quiet statement from one of Malaysia's most promising young backstrokers.

The 100m Back on Day 3 sees Dylan Leong Yi Quan (PADE, 17) and Boon Wei David Lee (IBSC, 19) lead the field at 1:00.00 and 1:00.09. Hermann Tang is seeded ninth at 1:03.13 — notable because it places him in the top-10 heat of yet another event.

The 200m Back is headed by Tew Hang Yong (PADE, 19) at 2:28.75, but the deeper interest lies with the juniors beneath him. Jun Jie Koh (DSAS, 15) at 2:31.42, Jayden Lim (KDUSB, 14) at 2:32.27, and Asher Ng Le En (KPGCC, 14) at 2:33.82 are all competing at well above their age-group level. The cluster of talented 14-year-old backstrokers in this field — Jayden Lim, Asher Ng, Nik Daris Rayyan (DSAS), and Cheng Ze Kang (WMSC) — is one of the more striking youth stories of the entire meet.

The Breaststrokers

Open-age swimmers set the pace in breaststroke. Joseph Chan Kai Xiang (NSH, 23) leads the 100m Breast at 1:05.00, with Isaac Ng (PADE, 22) and Wong Zi An (KPGCC, 20) behind him. The junior highlight is Dominic Lee Chern Ern (SSC, 14) at 1:09.55 — fourth overall, and a genuinely exceptional mark for a 14-year-old.

The 200m Breast on Day 2 and 50m Breast on Day 3 round out the programme. In the 50m, Yap Meng Hin Braxton (MAS, 14) leads junior breaststrokers at 33.23, with King Siong Chen (GSC, 15) at 33.42 and Muhammad Ziyad M. Qiya (GSC, 15) at 33.64 close behind. The presence of three 14-15 year olds inside the overall top 10 of the 50m Breast speaks to the depth of the junior breaststroke cohort here.

The Butterfliers

Hermann Tang Bok Yu (PADE, 15) defines the butterfly programme at this meet. His 200m Fly seed of 2:10.74 tops the field — inside the 14-15 meet record and among the fastest ever recorded at this circuit for his age group. Behind him, Aslan Adnan (PADE, 18) at 2:13.35 and Anselm Lee Jun Xian (MAS, 21) at 2:14.00 make this one of the deepest 200m Fly fields in recent All-Stars Central history.

The 100m Fly on Day 2 is led by Ho Zhi Yang (PADE, 20) at 55.94, with Matthias Liew Ming Zhi at 57.23 and Aslan Adnan at 57.39. Joshua Lim (KRNW, 15) at 58.15 is the standout junior, seeded third in the top heat. The 50m Fly on Day 3 mirrors this picture — Joshua lines up at 25.70 in the same heat as Ho Zhi Yang, Abdul Karim Jaafar Azhar, and Lim Oswald (PADE, 18).

Six events across three days — top-heat butterfly sprinter (50m Fly 25.70, 100m Fly 58.15), sub-25 in the 50m Free, and sub-29 backstroke. At 15, Joshua Lim is the standout versatile sprinter in the KRNW programme.

The Distance Swimmers

The 400m Free on Day 2 is headlined by Hermann Tang, who holds the 14-15 meet record at 4:14.49. He shares the top heat with Louis Lim Jun Ken (DSAJ, 15), whose 3:59.46 seed is the fastest in the field by more than 14 seconds — a genuinely elite number for a 15-year-old at a domestic circuit meet.

The 1500m Free on Day 3 produces one of the more intriguing individual matchups of the week: Lewis Mu Zi Long (DSA, 14) at 16:31.79 versus Hermann Tang at 16:33.67. Two seconds separating two 14-15 age group swimmers at 1500m, with the fastest overall seed in that age group up for grabs.

The IM Swimmers

The 200m IM on Day 2 is led by Aslan Adnan (PADE, 18) at 2:11.85 — the standing meet record — with Evan Chua Min Hao (DSAS, 17) at 2:15.58 and Dylan Leong Yi Quan (PADE, 17) at 2:16.00. Hermann Tang is seeded fourth at 2:17.79, making the top heat of the 200m IM the fourth separate final heat he appears in across the meet.

The 400m IM sees Hermann lead at 4:51.62, nearly three seconds clear of Aslan at 4:54.27. The broader picture is equally interesting: Adam Lim Keng Jin (SSC, 14), Jin Bin Leow (IBSC, 14), and Dominic Lee Chern Ern (SSC, 13) are all inside the top 10, pointing to an unusually strong generation of junior IM swimmers in the Central region.

The Swimmers to Watch Across the Full Meet

Hermann Tang Bok Yu (PADE, 14) is the defining story of All-Stars Central 2026. Entered in 10 events across three days — 100m Free, 200m Free, 400m Free (meet record holder at 4:14.49), 1500m Free, 100m Back, 200m Back, 100m Fly, 200m Fly, 200m IM, and 400m IM — he is the top seed in four of them and in the top 10 of all ten. At 15, the combination of volume, range, and speed across every stroke family is simply without comparison in this field.

10 events across 3 days — top seed in 200m Fly, 400m IM and 400m Free (meet record holder, 4:14.49), plus #2 seed in 200m Free. At 14, the most complete multi-event male swimmer in this field.

Aslan Adnan (PADE, 18) is the fastest seeded swimmer across the sprint and IM disciplines. Top seed in 100m Free (53.25), 200m Free (1:56.27), 200m Fly (2:13.35), 200m IM (meet record, 2:11.85), and 50m Fly — he arrives as the senior benchmark against which the juniors measure themselves.

Joshua Lim (KRNW, 16) competes across six events and three days: 50m Free (24.93), 100m Free (55.19), 200m Free (2:03.39), 50m Back (28.48), 100m Fly (58.15), and 50m Fly (25.70). His 50m Free puts him in the top heat against Open-age swimmers; his butterfly range across both short-course events makes him one of the most versatile juniors in the field.

Khew Mu Han (PADE, 16) is quietly one of the most dangerous swimmers across the sprint programme — 27.82 in the 50m Back (second overall), 24.78 in the 50m Free (ninth overall), and top-10 seeds in both fly events. One of the few 16-year-olds competing at Open level across multiple disciplines.

Tew Hang Yong (PADE, 19) anchors the distance and backstroke programme — top seed in the 200m Back, competitive across the 200m Fly, 1500m Free, and 400m IM. A high-volume multi-event presence throughout all three days.

Jia Jun Nathaniel Shu (IBSC, 15) is the backstroke junior to watch. Fifth in the 50m Back at 28.04, fourth in the 100m Back at 1:01.12, and holder of the 14-15 meet record in the 200m Back — Nathaniel has been building toward a breakout performance on the national circuit, and this meet is the opportunity.
