The Setup

Muhammad Dhuha Bin Zulfikry is the fastest qualifier in tonight's Men's 100m Butterfly final at 55.75. He's also the only finalist who has to race the 400m Freestyle before he gets here.

By the time Dhuha dives for the 100 fly, he will have already swum four laps of the pool at full distance pace. Li Hen Goh (Selangor, 56.16) and Li Jie Goh (Selangor, 57.01) have no such burden — they arrive rested, fresh, and ready to move.

Three Men, One Gold

Dhuha leads on paper. But this isn't just about prelims times. It's about who has more left in the tank when the blocks drop for the 100 fly.

Li Hen Goh is 0.59 behind in prelims — a gap that shrinks fast when one swimmer is carrying a 400 free in his legs. Li Jie Goh is 0.85 back but also fresh. Either Selangor swimmer is a legitimate gold medal threat.

The rest of the field — Damian Seth Lim (WP, 57.06), Elson Chun Hong Lee (Pulau Pinang, 57.17) — are within range of a podium if the top three falter.
