Yong Rui Jie Claims Men's 3m Springboard Gold at SUKMA 2026

Wilayah Persekutuan's Yong Rui Jie tops the Men's 3m Springboard final with 391.85 points, edging Selangor's Muhammad Haris by just 4.40 points at Akuatik Selangor.

Wilayah Persekutuan's Yong Rui Jie won gold in the Men's Open 3m Springboard final at SUKMA XXII 2026, posting a total of 391.85 points across six dives at Akuatik Selangor. Selangor's Muhammad Haris Mohd Rezal pushed him hard throughout, ultimately finishing silver with 387.45 — a gap of just 4.40 points.

Yong Dominates From the Front

Yong Rui Jie led from the opening dive and never relinquished top spot. His best single dive — a 5154B with a difficulty rating of 3.4 — earned him 68.00 points in the final round to seal the gold. He was consistent across all six dives, with no score below 52.50 in any round.

Haris Fights Back for Silver

Muhammad Haris Mohd Rezal of Selangor was the closest challenger throughout, recovering from a slower middle section to finish strongly. His final dive — a 5353B rated 3.3 — earned 67.65 points and helped him close to within 4.40 of gold. A 407C dive earlier in the final had scored 71.40, the highest single-dive score of the competition.

Bronze for Sarawak's Elvis Priestly

Elvis Priestly Ak Clement of Sarawak rounded out the podium with 368.30 points, a comfortable margin ahead of fourth-placed Nurqayyum Nazm Mohamad Nazim of Wilayah Persekutuan (351.35). The Sarawak diver was steady across all six dives, not posting a score below 52.50 in any round.
