Selangor Wins Men's Open 1M Gold as Wilayah Persekutuan Claim Double Podium at SUKMA 2026
Mohd Rezal Muhammad Haris wins gold with 353.80 points, while Wilayah Persekutuan's Nurqayyum Nazm and Yong Rui Jie take silver and bronze at Akuatik Selangor.
Mohd Rezal Muhammad Haris delivered a commanding performance to claim gold in the Men's Open 1M Finals at SUKMA XXII 2026, finishing with 353.80 points at Akuatik Selangor on Friday.
Diving on home soil, the Selangor athlete led from the opening round and held his position through six dives to stand atop the podium.
Behind him, Wilayah Persekutuan made their mark with a dominant double podium finish. Nurqayyum Nazm took silver with 347.70 points — just 6.10 behind the gold — while compatriot Yong Rui Jie added bronze at 336.15, completing a strong day for WP in the men's springboard.
Sarawak's Awang Nasaruddin Awang Sharz finished fourth with 327.45, ahead of fellow Sarawak diver AK Clement Elvis Priestly in fifth at 294.05.
