For the first time in over a decade, Selangor doesn't just send a squad to SUKMA — it hosts the whole meet. When the Games open on 15 August 2026, twenty-four swimmers will step onto pool decks built in their own backyard, chasing medals in front of a home crowd.
The record books favour them. Selangor is the most decorated state in SUKMA history — nine overall titles, a run of consecutive wins through the late '90s and early 2000s, and golds added again in 2013 and 2016. State officials have set an 80-gold target for 2026, with swimming named among the sports expected to help carry that weight. This is the squad tasked with doing it in the water.
